Daddy's Football Game

Daddy's co-ed flag football team had their playoff games this weekend, so we went to watch since we haven't been to a game this season (eek!). Landon was really good. He sat on my lap for almost the entire first game and then he got comfortable and started to wander around, and ended up on someone elses chair (that he could climb into)...and I think he is licking dirt off of his hand?!!??! Regardless, he was still a good boy!

On Sunday, the team had their second round of playoff games since they won both of their games on Saturday. Unfortunately, they lost their first game, but we still had a good time.

Happy 14-month Birthday Landon!

He's really catching on to so much! He doesn't really 'say' words, but understands SO much - it is really cute. He does say "hi", "bye bye", "Mama", "Daddy", "thank you", and "shoes". He loves to gives kisses. He used to give open mouth kisses, but now he gives closed mouth kisses and will also say "mmmma" (as in he's kissing). It's really cute! He tries to put on his socks and shoes on his feet - he knows that they go on his feet, but obviously can't do it himself. His molars are coming in (and they are really taking their time!) so I asked him about his teeth one day and he showed me where his teeth were! Several days later, I asked him, "Where are your teeth, Landon?" and he proceeded to open his mouth and point to his teeth. I also asked him, "Where is your nose?" He did point to his nose, but I'm not sure if he really knows this one or not. I'll keep you posted. Needless to say, he is really learning a lot. Still loves to wave to everyone and everything, including the people or cartoons on TV! He is very energetic and gets into EVERYTHING, but we do realizedthis is how he learns everything.

Memorial Day Mini-Vacation

Grandpa and Grandma came to Richmond for the long weekend and we also took off Thursday and Friday, so we had an even longer long weekend. We went down to Virginia Beach on Thursday and Friday. Jason and I haven't been there in 3 years and we were really impressed. It is really nice and we stayed at a really nice hotel right on the boardwalk. We played at the hotel pool, walked the board walk, walked in the sand (which Landon did well with, including eating the sand on his hands) and enjoyed each other's company.

Landon loves the water! Grandpa and Daddy had a great time throwing him up in the air.
