With me being uncomfortably pregnant, and not having the energy or time (since I'm getting ready for Alexandra's arrival) to plan a birthday party for Landon, instead we had a quiet weekend at home. The Sunday before, we took him to get his pictures taken, which he did great! He was such a ham and was eating up the attention! It was very entertaining for Jason and me, too.

Then we came home and our friends Errol and Catrina and their son Enzo came over for some cake. I just finished taking my cake decorating class at Michaels, in time to make this cute Elmo cake for Landon. It looked cute, but I didn't think it tasted very good - probably too much food coloring to make Elmo red!

The next day, Landon's actual birthday, he had his 2-year check up with the pediatrician. He weighed in at 28.25 pounds (60%) and 35 inches tall (75%). We have always been curious about Landon's height because we don't want him to get the Burke short-genes. So, using the doubling rule, Landon will be 70 inches or 5' 10" when he is 18 - much better than Daddy's height! And according to Baby Center, he'll be 6' when he is 18. Needless to say, we are happy! Now, let's hope for a athletic scholarship - Landon is hoping for a golf one. Ha!
