4-month check up

Landon had his 4-month check up today. He weighed in at 18 pounds 4 ounces (95th percentile) and is 25 inches long (50 percentile). He also got 4 more shots, but did pretty well in the afternoon, unlike the last round of shots. Dr. Terry, our pediatrician, said he's doing really well and even comments on how social he is! Wonder where he gets that!@?!?! (DAD!) Dr. Terry also gave us the green light to start him on rice cereal, especially since he is still getting up 2 times in the middle of the night to eat. (ugh!) We are excited to see how he does!

Happy 4-month Birthday, Landon!

Our little guy is 4-months old now! We continue to enjoy watching Landon grow and develop as a baby. His hand coordination is really good and is grabbing everything and can pass things from one hand to another. He is still eating like a champ...maybe too much since he is still waking up 2 times a night to eat. We are thinking Landon is about 18 pounds...it will be confirmed this week when he goes to the doctor. If the wind would blow just right, he would be rolling over, but for now, we're are still waiting. He can hold himself up while on his stomach and is on his way learning how to crawl...he has the leg part down, but that's it. And the cutest...he's giggling!!!

Meeting the Burke cousins

Landon also met his Burke cousins. He met Hunter last weekend while they stopped in Richmond on their way down to Myrtle Beach. This weekend he was able to meet Thomas and Tyler! Thomas was such a big boy and held Landon - he did great!

More visitors!

Landon was also able to meet Amy's cousin, Liz, and his great aunt Chrissy! Landon had a great time with both of them playing in the mirror!

Keith's Wedding Day

Busy day for all of the Burkes

Landon started the day hanging out in MeMa's bed with some furry friends. Doesn't he look cute!?!?!?

Then he met his second cousins (Amy's cousins) AJ, Toria and James. They had a great time playing with Landon on his activity mat. Then Landon met his other grandpa, Larry. Larry decided that Landon should go to 6:00pm mass with him and MeMa and did wonderfully! Partially because he fell asleep on Larry half way through mass!

While Landon was still busy meeting family, Mom and Dad were at Keith and Tara's wedding. Keith and Tara danced the most beautiful choreographed ballroom first-dance...with lifts and everything! Below is Jason (also the birthday boy!) and the beautiful bride!

Landon's weekend with MeMa

Landon spent all weekend with MeMa while Mama and Daddy went to Buffalo,NY for Keith and Tara's wedding. (Keith was the Best Man in our wedding). Congrats Keith and Tara! This was Landon's first trip to Pittsburgh and did great on the drive up (he mostly slept). Friday, he met his great grandparents, Amy's Grandpap and Grandma. Of course he had to wear his Steelers onesie while in Pittsburgh!



Landon also met his other great grandmother, Amy's Gram, during his visit. Both grandparents were highly entertained by Landon. We feel very fortunate that Landon was born having 3 great-grandparents!

While Landon was busy meeting and visiting family, Mom and Dad were at Niagra Falls. We didn't have to do wedding stuff until the evening, so we spent the afternoon at the Falls (so beautiful) and Casino. We can't wait until Landon is older and the family can go on the Maid of the Mist and have fun. At some point we want to do a family vacation in Canada to enjoy everything it has to offer. And while we were there we spent some time at the casino and won $200 playing black jack!

Playing with Mommy

Daddy went golfing this morning, so Mommy and Landon had the day together. (Maternity leave flashback...the good ol' days). It was really nice to have some alone quality time with Landon, especially since he is growing and developing so fast! For example, tummy time is really tummy time...not face-plant in the mat time. And he's much more stable in the BeBe Pod! (Please note his muscular arms. LOL!) We're still waiting for him to roll-over, but we did hear him laugh the other day - too cute!

Landon's got a girlfriend...

We visited some friends this afternoon, Laura and Shawn, who we also went to the Outer Banks earlier this summer. Laura and Shawn have a 2 1/2 year old, Nico (who is a blast!) and Haylie, who is 2 weeks older than Landon. We tease that Landon and Haylie are girlfriend and boyfriend...and this first photo proves our point! Landon tried to hold Haylie's hand! (or maybe it's that he's going through the grabbing phase) Daddy is going to have to sit down with Landon and have a talk about being a gentleman!

Uncle Dave and Aunt Sissy came to visit

Uncle Dave and Aunt Sissy came to visit on Saturday. Although Landon was only up for a little while when they were here, the adults had a good time! Although it doesn't look like it now, Landon has the same coloring (eyes and hair) as Uncle Dave when he was a baby. If Landon turns out like Uncle Dave...we're all in trouble!
