Playing in the pool

We spent a lot of time in the pool on our last day (and got a lot of sun, almost too much)! We had a really good time!

Landon was a little social butterfly, waving at everyone and calling out so they would give him attention. It was really cute and funny!

Monkeys, Monkeys, Monkeys!!!

We saw this monkey in the trees right outside of our suite. It was really cool!

We were walking back to our suite after breakfast one morning and some other vacationers pointed out this monkey. So cute and looking right at me!

More of Costa Rica...

Unfortunately or fortunately, we got more video than photos of the howler monkeys, but here is Landon, Jason and our guide David (barefoot!) walking back to our boat after seeing a bunch of monkeys in the trees. It was such an amazing experience!

Tamarindo

We went to the closest town, Tamarindo for lunch and some shopping. It is known for it's surfing, shopping and restaurants. Unfortunately, after experiencing Aruba and Puerto Vallarta's 'downtown' we were kinda disappointed with Tamarindo. But we had a nice lunch and our waiter 'babysat' Landon while we ate. Landon really took to him. The locals were VERY nice!

We're not sure what kind of animal this is, maybe a lemur,

but it was the first animal we saw in Costa Rica (on the resort).

Our first Family Vacation - Costa Rica!

We took our first family vacation...and went to Costa Rica! This was our last 'international' vacation for awhile until Landon (and another child) is older because then we're paying for multiple seats on the plane, plus resort and activities. We had a great time and would love to go back and do more excursions that we all can do together. For me, it was a great 'mental' break from life - no cell phone, no email, no preparing food, no clean up after meals, no clean up the room, 24-hour room service, drink when I want to, and just focusing on the 3 of us! It was like having a weeks worth of Mother's Days!
