Happy 10-month Birthday, Landon!

Geez...and to think that we are already planning Landon's 1-year birthday party! It truly saddens me to think of when Landon was an infant - so little and 100% dependent...and now he'll 'respond' when we talk to him, uses the sippy cups without a problem, walks around (although holds onto everything, including the vertical wall), waves goodbye, and is heading into the stranger anxiety phase, which is comforting that I'm in the Circle of Trust, but it's painful to see Landon, who is usually extremely social, become shy and hide his face when he sees someone new. We also suspect that he may be having bad dreams too because he'll wake up in the early evening crying, and then as soon as we pick him up he falls back to sleep, and when we put in back in the crib he stays asleep.

Every month, shoot, every day is more and more enjoyable to see what Landon will do. We're so happy and proud of his 'accomplishments' already and are looking forward to more! Love you, Landon!

Little Gym Class

So we had our first Little Gym class tonight....

I was really excited for it because Landon loves other little kids and what could be more fun than having free-reign of a HUGE baby-proofed room. Well, Landon hasn't been napping really well for the past 3 weeks, mostly because he hears the other kids up and playing so he doesn't want to sleep, he wants to PLAY! So he's only taking 1 afternoon nap, which really isn't enough. And of course why would today be any different since we have our Little Gym class, not to mention the class is from 5:30 -6:15pm, so that's usually his dinner time. Now, that I've set this positive stage, does it surprise you when I tell you that he was PAINFULLY shy and bashful!?!?!??! He clung to me almost the entire time!! Landon is also suffering a bit from stranger anxiety, so I don't think that was a beneficial cherry-on-top either! But, we're going back next week, and I'll be prepared with a snack and some juice and hope for the best - only 19 more classes to go!

Balancing/Standing

Landon has proven quickly that he can stand and balance by himself. He really doesn't show any urge or signs that he wants take any steps - which is fine by me! I'll never be able to get ready in the morning once he starts walking!

Wave Goodbye!

While we thought that maybe he was waving goodbye, he confirmed this morning that he knows how to wave goodbye. Daddy was leaving this morning and I told him to wave goodbye (we were also both waving) and sure enough he started to wave too! So cute!

The same with clapping...we weren't sure he knew he was clapping, but sure enough, he'll do it when we do and will clap all of the time. It's so cute!

Crawling!!

Our little inch worm crawler proved to us that he can do it and started to crawl 'normally' tonight! He is much faster, but still reverts back to his inch worm technique a little bit. He changes so fast!
